Hotel Nikko Bali, now called Hilton Hotel, is a striking building completed in 1996 by Wijaya Kusuma Contractors. It is a five-star hotel with 407 rooms and covers two hectares of land. The construction included cutting into a cliff to create a beautiful 15-story tower. The project required careful planning and precise work to stabilize the cliff and ensure the building’s safety.
The cliffside location posed unique challenges, like managing environmental impacts while preserving the natural landscape. Building such a complex structure needed strong solutions to keep the tower stable against wind and earthquakes, which are common in Bali. WKC demonstrated skill in handling significant, high-risk developments. Combining the 15-story tower with the cliff created an attractive architectural landmark and enhanced its reputation for delivering impressive engineering projects in Indonesia’s hospitality industry. This project shows WKC’s commitment to high-quality work, even in harsh environments.
